On Sweltering days
Lazing beneath the silk sky
Here lay you and I
Once again we walk
Travelling like old lost souls
Through roads we’ve been down
And yet here we are
Our hearts beating in our mouths
Drowning out all sound
Your smile… your eyes gleam
Like the stream our heads lay by
When secrets are told
Here you laugh softly
And here my heart is given
On sweltering days.
