Excellence Award in the 'The Write Track 2015' competition
The dark and thickening foliage of the yew
Becomes clear from a distance,
The needle-like leaves drift rapidly
And at at touch sink in an instance.
Beneath the rising vapor
Summer, Spring and Fall,
Bleached puffs from the atmosphere
Glance down and watch us all.
Tall majestic-like willows
Endeavour another fight,
Through seismic disturbances
Hope is out of sight.
Soon the saplings pass
The Wind begins to blow,
In the hands of nature
Another forest to grow.
