I look out the window,
another leaf falls from the oak tree like a tear down my cheek.
Oh these thoughts.
I flick another page of my book,
they turn browner with every read.
A coffee stained reminder.
Oh these thoughts.
Memories in frames surround me,
Places in glass cases fill the shelves,
The colours that illuminate our world.
And the ones we love,
The only things keeping us alive.
Oh these thoughts.
