I sit in a peaceful meadow
Watching and waiting
As nature starts to speak

A bee flies by
Buzzing passed my ear
Taking off to meet its queen

A bird perched near her nest
Chirping her favourite song
To her tweeting chicks

I saunter away to a pond
Seeing a trail of ducks quacking
Each smaller than the last

Many sounds I hear
But with a screech of rubber
It all goes silent
