You are the stars that guide me at night,
You are the moon that shines so bright.
You are the sunshine that gives me light,
You are the raindrops that fall just right.

You are the teddy that I hold so tight
You are the pillow that calms my fright,
You are the Paper that fires ignite
You are the pen that I use to write.

You are the friends that I invite,
You are the elders that are polite.
You are the hope that for which I fight,
You are the clock that chimes at midnight.

You are the poem that I recite,
You are the tears that creep in overnight.
You are the pain that I feel every night,
You are the monster that I’ll escape tonight.
