The Smiles left at home,
The loved ones left behind,
The missing spots which will never be filled,
The excruciating pain which left so many insane,
The mourning of a lost soul, so far away,
All enemies are dogs, or are they just like you,
The birds that no longer sing, the kookaburras that no longer laugh,
The Bang! The Boom! The Bang! Bang! Bang!
The sounds which have left so many people crying in pain,
Sad soldier's songs shatter the silence,
The last chance of life, putting people into strife,
What are you really fighting for?
Whether you're floating like a feather or sinking like a rock,
Is this the real you? Did you blow your chance?
What have we come to? Or is this just you.
