In the outback times are tough; in times of no rain things get rough. Still pitch black, tick tock the clock goes four; get up, piece of toast get out the door. With sheep to flock and cows to draft; things to do we need to laugh. Got to the stables lantern in hand; Geez I need my horse it's in high demand. Stables empty wheres my horse maybe old; Mate took her to the course oh no. Gates are open I really need my horse. I stormed back down to the homestead as angry as can be; and there stood disco ready to go happy and glee. Grabbed a bridal bear back to the shed saddle and girth off I led. Off to work we go a days work ahead lots of animals in paddock that need to be fed. Returning at dark with all tasks completed and all still having to be repeated. Work was done and hunger was earnt; shut the gate thats what i learnt.
