Bold, he was
Brave, he was
An innocent life taken by war.
Waiting for him to return
He will not return
My father, life taken by war.
Shot dead by war
Shed tears; we do
For a loved one, life taken by war.
Now only a slab of marble, nothing more
Another life, taken by war.
He will be remembered
As others do
But more, for he was a father.
My father.
My father, taken by war.
