Nanny's Girl

'Put Me In The Zoo'
Every night you'd read to me
Tuck the blankets in tight
"I'm just next door if you get a fright"

In the kitchen, small child, standing on a stool
From making jelly to baking cakes,
You taught me to do it all
My first stitch you watched me make
And from that a library bag was made

Like a second mother to me you've always been
Giving guidance and, as you call it, TLC
You encourage, believe and trust in me
And I know, a Nanny's girl I'll forever be
