I once knew a boy that always ran around,
He sang the national anthem all through town.
He loved to march in a line,
Until his dad didn’t come home from Pine.
This boy had none to give or none to share.
War was the reason for his disappear.
No mother nor father to obey,
He didn’t sing but remembered to pray.
Three weeks after he was 13 he was taken away from what he had,
He didn’t seem upset nor seem mad.
He had a ragged style
I knew him for a while but never saw him smile.
