Meeting The "Other Half"

We live within this world too harsh to live
Alone; a world where people live and die
And lose themselves to the depths of time...
We seek our other half from birth to death
To feel complete upon our final breath:
To stand beside, to share our lives, to care
For every moment of our dying days
Until we pass beyond and part our ways—

Among the crests and troughs of years gone by,
’Tis you who’s been my light in all the nights;
My Southern Cross, my North Star blazing in
Th’ abyss. My candlelight beneath the stars
Is nothing when compar’d, and so I hope
These words are proof: I love and wish for Truth.
