War enslaved their lives, kept them from their peace.
They travelled far and wide, for many just to cease.
They were disadvantaged, from what they didn't know.
War enslaved those times, one-hundred years ago.
Now we seek advice from computers, tablets and phones.
We put our thoughts on screens, like we’re battery-powered drones.
Sexism, racism, concern of sexuality
Haunt our very daylight, still present in this reality.
Why are we so scared of change? It’s as if we still don’t know.
Inequality haunted those times, one-hundred years ago.
Everybody will be accepting; they will let our dreams take flight.
We will all live as one, walking the city safe at night.
Our devils will have been defeated, no killers on the prow.
This is how I imagine my life, one-hundred years from now.
