Day At The … Nester’s Café

One day a fox named Haylee was going to visit her best friend Renee, the Toucan. Renee was at home in her Tree. She had just cleaned up and was now brushing her feathers. Haylee came out of her den and started sprinting to Renee’s. Haylee was the best sprinter in school. Both Haylee and Renee went to the same school St Cree’s high. Renee had just made her bed when the doorbell rang. It was Haylee.
“Hi Haylee” Renee shouted in excitement.
“Hi how are you going?” said Haylee.
“Good come in” Renee said.
“Thanks” said Haylee.
“Hey! Haylee, want to go to the Nester’s Café” Renee said.
“Sure Renee”
“Hi what can I get you” Said the waitress.
“Can I please get nuggets and chips” said Renee.
“Same here please” added Haylee.
“Oh! And both can be medium meals please, added Renee.
“Ok that’s all?” said the waitress.
“Yep” said the girls.
“That was nice” said Renee.
“Yep, all that’s left is the crumbs”
“Let’s go home” said Haylee.
“Ok” Renee agreed.
They were walking to Renee’s house when …. “Ouchhhh!” Haylee yelped.
“What” Renee screamed in shock.
“My paw, it hurts” Haylee started to cry.
“I think it might be broken” Renee said.
“Can you move it?” And she started to touch it.
“Stop it hurts” yelped Haylee.
“Hmmmm let’s get you to the hospital.
At the hospital Haylee got an x-ray and she had a broken paw so she got plaster and crutches.
“It doesn’t hurt so much now” said Haylee wiping the tears.
“Good, let’s get out of here” Renee said excitedly.
You can stay at my house until you get better.”
“Thanks” Haylee replied.
