You can’t see,
that my golden petals are just for show.
They hide fraying smiles,
torn skin.
They mask dark thoughts,
screaming lips.
My flowers are watered,
with the salt from my eyes.
You don’t know,
what keeps me up at night.
Or the terror lurking within,
with claws tight on my throat.
Darkness drowns out the sun,
and I stumbled in the void.
It’s getting hard to see,
and I can’t breathe.
