Last people standing at the going down of the sun,
Everyone fighting, what has just begun?
Shooting,where are the guns,
There they are run,run,run.
War, blood on the field,in the trenches,
Everywhere I look there is a body laying still.
Forever in our minds,
Or forever in our hearts
Red poppies grow where we all tore apart.
Getting hit was the worst part,
Everyone had to have a brave heart.
This is my time to say goodbye,Lest We Forget the diggers in our lives.
