Children wake up on a bright Easter morning.
Their parents are only just yawning
They race to finish their Easter hunt first
But they eat them too quickly, that they’re dying of thirst
Then they prepare for the big Easter lunch
The meat, the plates and the fruit punch
When everything is ready, guests start to arrive
Everyone praises, Jesus is alive!
Then they start to eat their Easter feast
The number of people has definitely increased
Children pinch chocolate from the decorations
Mum says, “That took a lot of preparation”
It’s a yummy entree, main and dessert
Even dad gets some cake on his shirt
Then the adults talk and talk
While the kids go play with some chalk
Easter is so much fun
Eating chocolate and hot cross buns.
