Cancer

Cancer is a beast it seems,
It crushes peoples hopes and dreams.
It breaks up loves, and families too.
It's hard on those who make it through.

And even when you win the fight,
it's never dead, there's chance it might,
there's chance it might return again,
sometimes the suffering never ends.

It takes and takes and never gives,
It doesn't want to let you live.
On innocent people's pain it thrives,
it will never cease to ruin lives.

It's taken two people I know,
I watched them die, I watched it grow.
I wish we may, I wish we might,
Find a cure and win the fight.
