The wet clouds are drifting by
As heavy as can be
It's coming down so very fast
And pouring down on me.
You can't predict when it shall come
It comes so quietly
It comes when not a mouse can hear
You need to listen carefully.
The rain is cool and very wet
It is so very nice
You can hear the rain near and far
It sometimes turns to ice.
I sometimes wonder why it comes
But that's not up to me
I know what to enjoy right now
To love the rain on me.
