Trapped in the cold, a child encased by snow.
At first it was easy to escape -
Snow as soft as cotton candy, she is sinking through
But the ice sets quickly, freezing the cage
Keeping her captive, angry, sad.
Snowflake tears dissolve into the outside world
a storm raging, encircling her, picking up speed -
She struggles, causing havoc; she can’t get free.
Her longing encrusts the trees as frost
A blizzard is anger,
Her efforts to escape shake the earth, cause avalanches of snow.
People think this is a White Wonderland, but they can escape into the sun.
The dew drop frosts on the trees are her longing for freedom
She calms; the storm settles everything is almost tranquil,
Snowflakes are tears; so beautiful, too many.
She is Winter.
