Thrust into a battle of words
The rumours pierce her down
Shadow girl retreats in the ambush
Flooded in lies, she'll drown

The words engross her heart
Bullets concealed in her soul
Shadow girl is injured, bruised
In agony she will roll

Unwinding doll
Stitched up smiling face
Shadow girl, blinded doll
Destined to efface

Lifeless "somebody"
Gloom is where she will roam
Shadow girl has surrendered
The shadows are her home
