As the sun rises, on the open field.
The poppy's grow, where fates were sealed.
Although they lay to rest, we will not forget.
The countless days they fought, to free us yet.
Founded by James Cook, our nation was made.
We will cherish this land, to the end of our day.
We sing our anthem, with pride out loud.
Because we are Australian, and we are proud.
There's Uluru, the Queensland Worlds.
Many things to do, go for a whirl.
We have tasty snags, and good ol' Vegemite.
You can see cities light up, during the night.
Watch your favourite team, in an AFL game.
Or watch a bowled batsman, walk off in shame.
We sing our anthem, with pride out loud.
Because we are Australian, and we are proud.
