Whispers fill my head
Tears fall on cracked pavement
Hearts beat as one
Thump, thump, thump

Music swell and falls
Life's beautiful crescendo echoes
Waves of emotion explode
Crash, crash, crash

Hands clenching
Grasp damp earth beneath fingertips
The edge of reality threatens
no, no NO...

Breath scratches my throat
Gasping, eyes open to silence
Once again hearts beat
Thump, thump, thump
