Laying There

Laying there, over and over again
Trying to fight away the pain
Hospital is where I stay,
Surrounded by walls of grey
I finally get to leave, but it won’t be the last day
Suddenly, something happens and it doesn't go my way.
Tears run down my face
I just want to leave this place.
I see my family at the door
I try to get up, but I fall to the floor
Help! I say, trying to stand
Here comes a nurse, giving me a hand.
My family leave, waving "goodbye"
I sit there and give a sigh
My heart beats at a fast pace
Am I ever going to leave this place?
