Heat radiating from the bodies around
Clamps grabbing me, holding me down
The extreme unease I feel within
Nothing could prepare me for this
Despite all the late nights and tireless work
The alarm clocks set for the early birds
The focus, determination and thirst to win
Nothing could prepare me for this
Tension beyond what I’d known before
All we have retained sneaks out the door
Panic sets in as we take our seats
Nothing could prepare me for this
The white papers blinding bright
My mind has turned out the lights
I scramble for the letters, numbers, figures
Let the examinations begin.
