You taught me that true beauty lies inside
In a smile, in a red bug and in a rhyme
Delicate and oh so fine is your heart that shines like a ray of light
So when i look in the mirror- i think of you
Of all the stuff you've taught me too
And I remeber what you said
that "true beauty lies inside"
It makes me think of the life I live and what I've become
It's not how fat or thin I am
How ugly or pretty I might look
It's not about what other people think of me
I've realized that I shouldn't even care about what they say
It doesn't matter how I look
All i need is a heart of gold like yours
I don't need to turn myself into someone I'm not
I don't have to try too hard
because I've realized that true beauty lies inside and that is all that counts
