Dear Future Generations, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry that in this chaotic world everything went so fast.
We were so busy with ourselves we could not fulfil this simple task.
I'm sorry we got everything we really wanted,
and took everything you really needed.
I'm sorry that our tough screens made us lose touch,
and our smart phones made us less smart.
I'm sorry we tore out the trees to pour concrete,
I'm sorry you have no more seasons, just heat.
I'm sorry we tested weapons of destruction on desolate sites,
thinking this air could sustain your life.
I'm sorry you cannot see what we saw,
that you cannot hear what we heard,
I'm sorry you cannot live how we lived,
I am truly sorry future generations,
that we took and did not give.
