This is Steve, this is my father.
I wake up, but you are already there
I go to bed and you are still there.
You provide for us and take care of us
You are hardworking and kind without any fuss.
I love you father, and you love me
We do everything together as a family.
You protect us and keep us safe from harm
Your love for us spreads from palm to palm.
You are patient and humble, generous and honest
When you say something, you always keep your promise.
Father, I always will know and keep in mind
That you are thinking about us from time to time.
You are supportive, faithful and a peacemaker
And you teach me to be a cheerful giver
Father, daddy, what can I say?
That you love God in every way
Polite and patient, that is what you are
Father, you are my role model, our shining star
Well now you know a bit about my father
And I am proud to say that he is
This is Steve, this is my father.
