Kids Should Be Seen AND Heard

Ever heard the phrase "Kids should be seen and not heard",
Well it's the same as saying "You're worse than a nerd!"
It's absolute nonsense I must say,
And people who say it will have to pay.
It's cruel, it's rude, but most adults say,
"You're being silly, now sit down and play!"
A kid may complain that they have been kicked,
But the mother would ask, "Are you sure you're not sick?"
Poor little Nelly can say all she likes,
But it's not worth it, even if she tries.
Oh how I wish people could change this phrase,
To something worth not getting lost in a maze.
A maze full of ignorance, and arrogant people,
That do small hurtful things just like a needle.
Even though the future's blurred,
I will change the phrase to "Children Should Be Seen AND Heard!"
