The Thief

Hi there. I am going to tell you a story about the Queen, police officers and a robber.

Part One

One morning the Queen woke up and found a problem. Her jewels were stolen!

She called the police. “My jewels have been stolen!” said the Queen. “Don’t worry, I will find the thief” replied the Police Chief.

Within 10 minutes the Police Chief had assembled a group of 10 police officers. They were ready to track down the thief. They checked the cameras, footprints, and everything else, but no clues. Later that night the police used 5 bags of cash as bait to trap the thief. The thief came at 10:02pm. Sadly, he got away.

Luckily, the Queen captured the thief herself. She managed to pull a rug from under him, which made him fall over. And because his hands were full, he landed flat on his face. The Queen then jumped on him. There she sat until the Police Chief and his police officers arrived with hand-cuffs.

He was taken away and later sentenced to stay in prison for five years.

Part two

Three years later the thief broke out of prison and stole a gun from a gun shop. He was ready to go rob a bank, and had to get out quick because the alarm went off in the gun shop. He made it out before the police arrived.

The Police Chief and his gang rushed to the gun shop. They checked for fingerprints and found one. Luckily the police had taken his fingerprints before he went to jail. It was a perfect match! They also found footprints which led to the basement of a nearby house where the thief was hiding out. The night was dark, creepy, and dangerous, but the police were very brave. They went into the spooky basement where they found the thief. They arrested him and took him to jail, this time, for the rest of his life!
