We as dolls sit on one’s bed with no voice and no power,
We watch adults cry but we have no leverage to say,
There are many of us trying to bring our feet through the doors,
However, our steps fall short as our voices begin to fray.
We all hear the sounds of the wrong decisions being made,
There is nothing we can do to change the outcome of our rights,
It is wrong to think that our reflections are of a puppeteer life,
With each string being pulled and our dreams becoming lost in one’s sight.
Everyone should be equal but the strong have access to power,
The weak are left to agree with the powerful even if they are wrong,
We can’t all have a say as there would be thousands of words left in the air,
Adults believe we should be silent at night and play in the shadows as that is where we belong.
We as people, who do not have a voice that can be heard,
Are left to sit in the back row of a class watching others make wrong decisions,
Too many of us are harmed because of the terrible disease of choices that are spread,
But we are only children and our thoughts are often mislead.
