Being away from you is like the night,
Your beauty like the dawn.
Your smile does light my world up bright,
And vanishes my fears, gone.

Your smile is like a spring of joy,
Your hands like silken cloth.
Your eyes do love employ,
Yet my heart lays hidden, under froth.

You are my strength and joy,
My everlasting hope.
If our love you would destroy,
My heart could never cope.

I cry in quiet places,
Places hidden from view.
Here my heart races,
Forever missing you.
