I sit in a world where I’m ignored, where the primary attention is mobile phones
A world that has had colour, has become black and white,
I am no longer your priority but a memory in your fantasy,
Dad I see you for the man you are, strong, brave, and courageous what am I compared to you?
You leave in the morning and don’t come back till night
You kick your shoes of at night and don’t even ask me about my day
I’m left alone in a world of black and white, I sit head down with my chip and dip
I face a world full of Crime, death, disease and I’m left with you guys as my friends and family
You’re the only Colour in my life but why do I only see the dark of your shadow
You turn your back so fast I got wipe lash, and yet I’m left alone
You say you’re here for me, but you’re quicker to run than help me
I scream your name but I’m left like a dog in the rain
The pain strikes hard, but aye I guess no pain no gain
But what can I gain alone in this world of black and white
I see my friend’s backs and my parents sigh
I look for a sign, for my hope and dreams to become more
But I’m left alone in a world of black and white
