Empty Spaces

In these dark and gloomy places
Surrounded by empty spaces.
My body shudders at the sight
Mind corrupting with darkness and night.
I stand back allowing a refuel
If turning away wasn't so cruel.
I'd turn, I’d twist, I’d run, I’d kiss
This place goodbye with a hiss.
The growl of my heart attacks my chest
Without listening I would become a mess.
I listen to my heart in the dark and gloomy places
No longer am I surrounded by empty spaces.
