It was silent, eerie.
The aisles were empty, and only the irregular, lost looking customer would walk in, reaching for something to help with whatever they had to deal with. But she was different.
Her blond hair was wavy, her nose turned up,
and her denim jacket lay hung open.
She had an unreadable expression on her face,
as if the strings inside her were broken,
but she continued with her head held high.
She came in every day, with a smile on her face, but her eyes showed no sign of emotion.
Not a sound being made, she passed through the aisles,
tiptoeing as if she was afraid to get caught.
She continued to saunter through the shop, in an almost artistic way, looking around.
It’s not as if she was searching for anything,
for all she wanted was the feeling of emptiness to leave her.
