Elephant

When the elephant came charging through, nobody knew why. They just ran. They were all out of the way, or at least that’s what they thought. Suddenly a woman yelled, “my baby!” Her child was in the house that the elephant was heading for! She went to go get the child, but her husband pulled her back. “It’s too dangerous,” he said. The elephant kept charging. It didn’t stop, not even when it reached the house. It ran into the house, causing it to fall down. But then something unusual happened. When the elephant heard the baby crying, it stopped short. The big creature slowly and carefully pulled the debris off the infant, then retreated to the forest.
