Can't You Understand Us?

We come into the world alone
But your parents could give you food and shelter
While our parents could only give their love ... perhaps
Love is the best thing in the world to receive
But don’t we need food, clothes and shelter as well?
Are you appreciating life while we suffer?
Are you giggling while tears run down our eyes ?
We are putting our hope on you
That you will be kind enough to deliver us.
We stand on the arid filthy fields
Eyeing through barb wire at opaque clouds
Won’t you look back at us once in your busy life?
I am of the unfortunate
Drowning in despair
Won’t you please take my hand?
