Family, Faith, and Friendship Wrapped in Love and Betrayal

Faith and love generate such powerful emotions,
With faith as the pillar and family the rock.
Till love overwhelms with its never-ending notions
So the Orthodox girl has to take stock.

Ignoring the warnings of her family’s rejection
Floating in a storm of passion and promise
She chooses the man and a future direction
Based on the precept he’s truthful and honest.

Disowned by her family and left on her own
Her best friend supports her, as best as she can
Welcoming them both to stay in her home,
The friend becomes smitten and falls for the man.


Love and religion, a heart broken in pain
Enduring forever like a never ending chain.
