Everything ends, even the stars.
Amazing civilisations crumble to dust.
"Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair..."
Beauty passes, lives end
And in a billion billion years
The universe will die with no one to watch
Everything must end, eventually
Otherwise nothing would ever start
Ends are beginnings, beginnings are ends
Star death is brilliantly bright
Neutron stars, rotating, pulsating
And black holes trapping weightless fleet-footed light
The stars that pass make way
For these entities of unique beauty
Endings are soil to grow new stories
Don't let the last line stop you reading
