I started with an empty space, you left me with none.
You were my sunshine, now you just the sky.
You're not the sun, the moon, or even the stars.
You bring no source of light, nor happiness
I gave you my love, my heart and my tears.
You took my love, you crushed my heart
and you dried out my eyes
You left me broken
You tore me apart
But now I’m strong
Now I found the moon

It would never compare to your sun
It would never complete my missing piece
But I don’t need you
And you don’t need me
