Click, Bang, Boom
The sounds of war on the Turkish land
As the ANZACs came to the shore
The shore of Gallipoli
In the trenches the young lives wait
They climb out to the bang of guns
Only the lucky ones survive
Or at the least are wounded
At home, the anxious Mothers wait
At home, the Generals decide their son’s fate
If just one thing falls out of line
Thousands of soldiers might not survive
When they came home, they were not proud
They were not happy
Just hoping that no one repeats
The same mistakes they made
