Just Listen

I like to listen to sounds I know,
They’re all around me wherever I go,
Some sounds are soft like a cool breeze,
But some sounds are loud like a big sneeze,
There are little sounds I like to hear,
The stomp of a foot when it’s near,
A bright sun and no rain,
And the water running down the drain,
There are great big sounds that make me feel grand,
The proud, big loud amazing band,
And a big barking dog with sharp claws,
Screaming kids playing indoors,
Some sounds can scare me, like a growling dog,
Or a laughing clown and a moving hog,
Other sounds are sad, like a scream of pain,
But I listen for nice ones, I’m happy again.
