Just Listen

I like to listen to sounds I know,
they’re all around me wherever I go.
Some sounds are soft like rustling leaves, but other sounds are loud like the strong breeze.
There are little sounds I like to hear,
like the squeak of a mouse when it’s near.
A cat with a soft purr,
and a bear covered in fur.
There are great big sounds that make me feel grand, like the yelling people of this land.
Some sounds can scare me like a gun shot in a movie, or an ugly woman that is groovy.
But I listen for happy ones and I’m glad again
