Carried Away By The Wind

I started to drift off through the crashing waves of the sea.
I could feel that I was a part of the earth, being more alive than I ever had,
I was happy drifting away from land.
Now I was free, now I was home.
Everything around me was real and full of life,
So perfect and so calm in the roughest of ways.
The wind was blowing on my body like the touch of the softest feather,
I would never leave, for this was where I belonged,
Being carried away by the wind.
The water was a deep, strong blue, but I could see through.
Sea is nature’s most marvellous creation.
As the sun set, the sea was falling asleep into the sparkling night sky,
Not yet dead, but slowly fading away.
I close my eyes, as I’m still here, never to leave.
To be free, to be home, this was where I connected with life.
This was my freedom, never to be taken away.
