Scars

Those few scarring words engraved on her heart,
Created her chains and bars of self hate.
The lies she was told, in her mind turned to truth
Causing her many a sleepless night.
Those few 'harmless' words,
Formed those scars on her wrists
That won't ever fade,
That will make her persist.
Those voices trapped inside her head,
Will continue to make her insane.
She's laughed at, tripped over, but no one realises,
How much each day is a strain.
Those few scarring words that hurt her so much,
When she was told 'nobody loves you'.
These words continue to destroy her each day,
Because she deems them to be true...
