Yet Again

As time continued with unstoppable force,
I healed, cutting away at that villainous plant,
becoming true to who I once was.
But yet again, the cruel ways of the social hierarchy found me.
I was rejected,
left alone by a person just alike myself,
who didn’t seek the same friendship as I.
She was content with her flock.
That was similar to all,
they had found their flock,
and by that grace; they had leapt off the cliff;
And Flew!
But I remain with the weighing plant;
of my mind.
I have no flock and cannot be the heroic one;
that flies on their own.
