Just My Pet Dog

i looked down from on top of a tree,
which gave me a shivering feeling.
i could hear a noise that was loud an scary,
i knew it was from that clearing.
maybe it could be a dinosaur or a green hairy monster,
or maybe it would be a talking fish or that runaway lobster.
would it be a magic robot or a singing goat,
maybe it would be swamp frog you know the one that rides a boat.
out jumped the creature from inside of the misty fog,
suddenly i realized it was just my pet dog.
