Only in heaven do loved ones rest
because when God needs angels he chooses the best
my Poppy is there and although I am sad
there are lots of good times together we had.
Sometimes I cry when I'm sleeping at night
because he isn't here to hug me goodnight
but my mum always tells me he stays in my heart
and that means we are really never apart.
Only in heaven does my Poppy stay
but he watches me laugh and he watches me play
and I know he was sick and he couldn't stay
he still watches me, but from further away.
