Jack’s Story


Hi my name is Jack and this is my story.
One day I was told that I had to go to war. I had no choice but to go. So I had to go pack my bags I took a photo of my mum, dad and sister Poppy.My family dropped me off at the airport as I left for the front. It was frightening. I didn’t won’t to leave my family, but I had to go. When I got to Europe I saw a bomb go off. I went to a trench and started firing bombs. I was so scared that I was going to never see my family again.That night we ate meat and peas and we drank tea and coffee. It didn’t taste very nice but I had to eat it. I thought that I was going to be sick. That night I didn’t sleep well at all! All I could hear was bombs blowing up in the trenches. I was so scared. Today I’m so so tired. I got no sleep at all. We quickly had breakfast.It was disgusting. I went and started firing canons. At lunch I wrote a letter to my mum,dad and sister. I wrote
Dear Mum,Dad and Poppy,
I am missing you so so so much.
The food is so bad.
I want to come home.
200 people have died already.
I have made friends but one of the girls had died.
My friend Poppy and I are staying together .
It is so scary .
I love you so so much.

Just then a bomb came into the trench that I’m in. I got hit! My arm was bleeding so much, I didn’t know what to do. I ran straight to the tent that the nurses were in. One of the girls named Chloe helped with my arm. Chloe cleaned up my arm then she put a bandage on my arm. It made my arm better. I went to the trench and I had some lunch. I had some meat and canned vegetables. I hate them. It was bad food! Then I want to fire a bomb, one came and hit my arm again. It hurt so much. My arm was very badly heat. I went strata to chloe in the the accident tent. Chloe was in the tent she said that she had to get bandage up the put your arm in a sling.

It was the second last day of war. I was so excited.I could not wait until I saw my family.

I am home and my mum is waiting for me at the airport.
We went back to our house and when I walked in all of my friends and family were there to welcome me home.I was so happy.We had cake and food.I had a great time at the party. I got some presents from my friends and family.
