Peace And War

I see the looming shadow of the trees
and I hear the buzzing of the bees
I feel the soft grass touching my skin
and the salty smell of the seven seas
The calmness is gone replaced with war
destroyed homes and splintered doors
Bangs all around and families gone
and a bloodied mess on the floor
All is suddenly quiet, all is at peace
and all the chaos is at the least
As I come to live for another time
the fear inside me is deceased
