Just One Little Thing

Empty. Lost. Alone.
Covered in dark clouds of sadness.
Just one little thing, it changed my life.
Good times slowly fade away.
Retreating unnoticed and invisible.
Just one little thing, it tore my heart.
Overwhelming unnecessary fears choke up every breath of happiness.
Words drift away unheard.
Just one little thing, it drowned my confidence.
Then the shimmer of hope frees me.
My heart mends, my certainty grows.
Just one little thing, the one special little thing,
It changed my life.
